Editorial Board Members are the prime essence of our Journals. We understand the importance and vitality of Editorial Board Members for fostering the growth of the Journals. Hence, we at OOA follow a rigorous practice to select our Editorial Board Members for individual journals who met our Editorial Board Member policy. Our Editorial Board is our main advisory board consisting of prominent personalities of respective fields. Our editorial board members are the ambassadors for our journals and our credibility lies in their credentials. We follow the practice and guidelines defined by COPE and ICMJE .
Our Editorial Member team is categorized into two groups: Editor-in-chief and Editorial Board Members including the internal associate editor coordinating with Chief Editor and other Editorial Board Members for the day-to-day Journal’s activities.
The editor-in-chief is the chairperson of the Journal and is the key decision-maker of the journal and board. His decision regarding the fate of an article is final and no one is allowed to do any changes afterward.
The major role of the editorial board is to advise and support the editor and major decision makers of the fate of the journals. Functions may include:
Editorial board meetings are very much useful to meet with all of the Editorial Board Members and office bearers to brief and discuss issues, take questions and also gain ideas for policies and upcoming journal editions. The meeting can be done through face to face, or via telephone or video conferencing.
Whenever Editorial Board meetings are not possible, we will try to arrange to meet with board members at individual conferences or other academic events. Meeting board members is a key way of networking and building and strengthening the relationship with the Editorial board.
We will have our own Conferences annually and all members can meet there. We may support them partially or fully in terms of travel to attend our conferences. For board members, accommodations will be taken care of by us including registrations if any.
