Dr. Raghunath Satpathy

Dr. Raghunath Satpathy received his M.Sc. in Botany (Specialization Biotechnology) from Berhampur University Odisha, (Post M.Sc.) Advanced P.G Diploma in Bioinformatics from University of Hyderabad, M. Tech. degree in Biotechnology from VIT University, Vellore India, also he was awarded the degree for the doctor of philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology by Sambalpur University, Odisha. Currently he is continuing as the Assistant Professor in the School of Biotechnology, Gangadhar Meher University, Odisha. He has 14 years of teaching and research experiences. His current research interest is development and application of Bioinformatics tools/databases in the areas of environmental science and human therapeutics. He is the principal investigator of a research project sponsored by Odisha Higher education Council (OSHEC).  He has authored 38 journal papers, 19 book chapters and two books to his credit and he is the recipient of many academic and research awards.

Research Interest:

• Bioinformatics, molecular modelling, docking, molecular dynamics simulation, protein design, QSAR analysis, microarray data analysis and database development, computational protein engineering, In–silico analysis of NGS data.
